In tune with a yearning for interiors that link to the natural world, the new colour palette takes its inspiration from the colours of the Ile de RĂ©, the French Atlantic island famed for its light. The colours are inspired by all the elements: the vegetation of the island and in particular its salt-marshes, where evergreen plants take on a multitude of shades between green and grey; sea and sky merging, with graduations of grey, green and blue. Highlights of oranges in springtime, when wild flowers take over the fields.
The collection is a harmony of twelve lacquer colours each with great depth of colour, with a dominant green note, and complementary greys and oranges.
Building on Haute Déco's unique expertise in creating harmonious colours for decorative hardware, our lacquers are made up of a great many individual pigments, making the colours subtle, at once intense and subdued.
To illustrate how our colours can be used in combination with paint from the likes of Farrow & Ball, Little Greene or Fenwick & Tilbrook, we have created boards with hand-painted swatches associated with each of our new colours. The boards are currently on temporary display at the Kings Road showroom, or can be viewed on-line.
